ACTON – A man was critically injured when a tiger bit him repeatedly at an animal sanctuary run by actress Tippi Hedren. The 40-year-old man was attacked Monday afternoon at Shambala Preserve, on the edge of the Mojave Desert about 40 miles northeast of Los Angeles. A county fire dispatcher said the victim was airlifted to a hospital in critical but stable condition.
