Don’t look any further, Enyeama urges Osimhen to remain with Lille

first_imgFormer Nigeria number one goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has urged the rave of the moment, Victor Osimhen, not to look any further and remain with the French side, Lille for now. Enyeama is singing the popular old school song titled: “Don’t Look Any Further”, a 1984 single by former Temptations lead singer Dennis Edwards, to the Super Eagles striker who has become a beautiful bride in Europe. Enyeama advised Osimhen to resist tempting offers from Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Liverpool and stay with Lille. But former LOSC goalkeeper Enyeama said, “He made a name for himself, he became a household name in Lille. “I pray that he decides to stay one more season in Lille, this is my prayer for him. “If he leaves, then it’s time to leave. I am not his agent, everyone has an opinion. I will need to speak to him before I can advise him.” Liverpool had reportedly opened negotiations with Osimhen’s representatives ahead of the summer transfer window. Osimhen was having an outstanding season for Lille, racking up 13 goals and four assists in Ligue 1. Only Neymar, Moussa Dembele, Wissam Ben Yedder and Kylian Mbappe have scored more goals than the promising 21-year-old in the French top flight this term. It’s claimed a fierce ‘battle’ is likely to take place between England’s top clubs for Osimhen’s signature, with Lille demanding a fee of around £60million for the youngster’s signature. Lille president Gerard Lopez has already revealed that he has received offers for the attacker. Osimhen has scored 13 league goals for Lille this season. Earlier this month, Osimhen revealed his ambitions to ‘play for a big club in England’ and thanked fellow countryman Odion Ighalo for the advice he’s given him at the start of his career. ‘Of course, one day I’d like to play for a big club in England,’ he said. read also:Leicester plan to fortify attack with victor Osimhen ‘I’ve spoken to Odion about it. He gave me very good advice, he’s a legend and a big brother. ‘My goal is to play at one of the biggest clubs in the world but now I’m very happy in Lille. ‘My priority is to play a lot of games.
