first_imgLA HABRA — La Habra High School’s football team recovered from a shaky start Friday night, scoring three touchdowns in both the second and third quarters to defeat cross-town rival Sonora 48-13. On the opening drive, Highlander quarterback R. J. Benedict connected with Jeremy Sedaka in the corner of the end zone on a 20-yard scoring pass for the first of his four touchdowns. The Raiders (2-5, 0-2) came back to take the lead, capitalizing on Matt Moody’s blocked punt and a pass interception from cornerback Terence Foster that was run back for a score. The Highlanders (5-2, 2-0) turned to their running game to regain the lead.
